Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 9, 2026

1. 100% Client-Side Processing Guarantee

ImgDrop is designed from the ground up to operate entirely in your web browser. When you select, drag, or process image and PDF files, all decoding, conversion, compression, and editing calculations occur strictly within your local device's memory using standard browser APIs (HTML5 Canvas & Web Workers). Your image data and documents are never uploaded, transferred, or stored on external servers or cloud services.

2. Information We Collect

Because we do not require account registration or server-side file processing, we do not collect personal identifiers, passwords, billing information, or your uploaded files. Like most web services, standard non-identifiable web logs (such as IP addresses, browser user-agents, referral sources, and access timestamps) may be generated by our hosting infrastructure to maintain site security and prevent malicious traffic.

3. Cookies & Google AdSense Advertising

We partner with third-party vendors, notably Google AdSense, to serve advertisements on our website to ensure our image conversion utilities remain 100% free for everyone.

4. Local Storage

ImgDrop utilizes browser localStorage solely for technical and user preference reasons: saving your preferred interface theme (dark mode or light mode) and storing your cookie consent choices. No personally identifiable data is stored.

5. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users are entitled to transparency regarding data collection. Because ImgDrop does not store personal files or sell personal information, your files remain completely confidential and under your direct control at all times.

6. External Links

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. Please note that once you leave our site, we do not have control over other websites and cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of information you provide while visiting them.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or operational practices. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated effective date.
